Compared with the Phase difference system AF, the Contrast AF boasts higher accuracy especially in shooting with bright lens with small F value. The approx.0.09 second of ultra high-speed Light Speed AF* is achieved by reducing the detection time for focusing by the synchronization of the lens and the sensor at 120 fps. Combined with the Touch AF control, setting and focusing at the subject is incredibly easy and quick. Taking further advantage of Contrast AF, the DMC-GX1 incorporates Full-area focusing.

The operation on DMC-GX1 is smooth and easy with optimum layout of control buttons and the mode dial. The function the user changes its setting can be assigned to the 2 external buttons and 2 menus in the software. In addition, a total of 4 custom setting patterns can be memorized. Now the DMC-GX1 comes with Level Gauge which lets the camera detect the horizontal/vertical angle of view with its internal level working with the acceleration sensor.

As a camera from the new premium GX line of LUMIX G Micro System, the external design of the camera has been developed with no compromising. This has been in my attic for some time, and I am having a clear out. It worked fine when I put it up there, and I have tested it and it still works fine!

I would confidently describe it as in excellent condition - never been dropped, no scratches on the casing etc.

However, try as I might I can't locate any of the connecting leads at this point. If I find them it will come with them, but if bidding please assume that its just the camera and flash card.

Comes with a 8mb Kodak digital science Compact Flash Picture card, now quite rare and - which on their own generally retail for a reasonable sum.

 The NEX-5 is housed in a light magnesium alloy body, making it light for its size.  It has 16.1 megapixels, which is up two from 14 in the previous model and a APS HD CMOS Sensor.  This is complimented by a specially optimized version of the BIONZ Image processing engine, resulting in clean low noise images. The new model also includes 1080/60p AVCHD video capture, a 10 fps shooting mode and a maximum sensitivity of ISO 25, 600, allowing high quality photos in low lighting conditions.The Sony NEX-5N has a touch enabled 3 inch LCD display and supports an optional XGA OLED electronic viewfinder.  The viewfinder attaches to its accessory ports.  The Sony NEX-5N comes with a body case, lens jacket, and shoulder strap.
